As 2023 gets underway, BMBAN gears up for another stellar year, launching into our 46th year with great excitement about what’s to come!
Having twin toddlers is like having a live-in comedy duo, except their interpretation of “funny” corresponds with my interpretation of “crazy”.

Beyond 45
Last year, BMBAN celebrated its 45th year supporting the multiple birth community – a huge milestone for an entirely member-run volunteer organisation.
Our membership statistics continue to thrive and we currently have 16 Life Members, 6 Honorary Members, and around 150 member families (wowsers!). We’ve also seen a little multiples baby boom in recent months, with a series of adorable newborns gracing our member pages. A massive congratulations to our newly-minted multiple birth parents for 2023 so far, and a shout-out to all those families that will be joining us in the coming months.
Pre-loved kids toy market
March promises to be a big month for BMBAN, with our ever-popular pre-loved baby and kids market on Sunday, 19 March, which promises a massive selection of pre-loved toys and books.
BMBAN is proud to be able to support its members with this event, with all members shopping for FREE! Non-members can also support BMBAN by shopping for a small $10 fee per shopping bag. Excess goods are donated to local community organisations, so the giving doesn’t stop with us, something that our Committee is incredibly proud of.
Bookings for this event are essential and you can secure your spot here.
What else is coming up?
Quite a bit!
March marks a couple of key events in our community calendar, including International Women’s Day (8 March) and Multiple Birth Awareness Week (19 – 26 March).
We have some great materials being prepared for these occasions, and our members are looking forward to what will be an EPIC trampoline session on 26 March at Flip Out Strathpine to celebrate Multiple Birth Awareness Week. We can’t wait!
Stay tuned, more to come soon!
